I get a lot of requests from people that want to upgrade their laptop. Unfortunately, laptops are not built in open architecture like desktops. You can upgrade the memory, the hard drive, maybe even the CPU but you cannot upgrade the motherboard or video card. Laptops use plastics that are custom molded to the original motherboard so they will not fit any other.
If you must upgrade it is best to invest in a brand new system. It may even be a cheaper proposition. If you have questions about upgrades, feel free to write me at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also find laptop parts available at our website www.laptoppartsexpert.com.

I am considered what they call a power user. I have way too many programs open on my desktop and I am always multitasking, so I needed two monitors. For those that don’t realize it, you do not need an expensive dual head card to upgrade to a second monitor. All you need is a simple video card added to your AGP or PCIe slot, and you can add another screen. If you really need a lot of space, you can use the tip I got and find two 22-24″ monitors that tilt upward from landscape view to portrait view, and it will seem as if have four 14″ monitors.
Trust me, after you get used it it, it’s great and everyone will be jealous of you. LCDs screens are certainly cheap enough, it is time you expand your desktop.
